Welcome back Little Ones! Since I’ve been feeling a tad under the weather doing a little retail therapy doesn’t hurt anybody, (apart from my bank account).
But, it’s been a while since I’ve ventured into the drugstore and purchased several items, although I noticed that the pricing has increased tremendously over the years, I spent a total of £60 on 7 items! I remember the days where you could buy an entire make-up look for £20 or under … How times have changed.
You may take this blog post with a pinch on salt, I’m not reviewing each product, (as I haven’t yet tried them), but I’ll be stating what I purchased and why.
If that sounds up your street you know what to do, carry on reading.
Without any further or do, let’s crack on with the drugstore make-up haul

Disclaimer-this blog post is not sponsored, I purchased all these products myself, I’m simply listing the products to make it easier for you to research or purchase.

Low and behold, my Maybelline Lash Sensational had finally dried up and joined the prune family, it was time to hunt for a new product. Seeing that I’ve always been a fan of L’Oreal products, diving into their mascara wasn’t a bad idea, the packaging is stunning, (especially for a drugstore mascara). I’d also heard nothing but fantastic reviews, great work on their WOD … I jumped on the bandwagon and decided to purchase this product.

I noticed this particular mascara came in two varieties, water-proof and oil-enriched, I made the decision to go ahead with the castor oil, purely because one, my lashes are paper-thin and need all the nutrients they can get. And two, from previous experience, water-proof mascara is a pain to take off, and I don’t want to run the risk of loosing any lashes!
If you have taken an interest with this mascara I will list it down below for you.

L’Oreal Paradise Mascara

I’ve been on the hunt to find the perfect BeautyBlender sponge dupe, I’ve searched high and low, and nothing in my opinion has managed to beat my holy-grail item. Will this be the ultimate contender?
MASQD is a new brand within my local Boots and seeing that I’ve never heard of them and the pricing was reasonable, I thought I would give it a try.

None-the-less, it’ll be handy to test if the smaller sponge is easier to reach the inner corner of my eye, the beauty blender does a good enough job, but I find that it’s far too big, (I know they offer smaller sizes), but not everyone can afford that price, and seeing that it’s hard for me to get a hold of BeautyBlender products, this may be an alternative; if not I’ll have to head into London and stay loyal to my BeautyBlender.
I will also update you with a future blog post, on how I found these sponges and if they are worth the money.

MASQD sponges

Firstly, from my pasty completion and the fact I bought the shade toffee caramel, (second darkest), you know I’m not using this product for foundation. I’m trying to test the waters of creme bronzing/contour, also seeing that I’ve not yet become a pro I didn’t want to spend a tremendous amount of money; especially if I didn’t like the overall affect.
Already being a loyal customer of L’Oreal, I quickly decided that I would pick this item, it was priced fairly at £8.99, (similar to other drugstore foundation).
I’m excited to crack this open and try it out, hopefully it gives me the glowing goddess appearance that I’m so desperately looking for.

L’Oreal Paris stick foundation

Sadly, it was that time again where my beloved fit me concealer had faded away, I reached pure desperation (scraping the side of the container), but it was time to let go and for another to be reborn.
Fundamentally, this item was a re-purchase, I’ve enjoyed using this product for the last month, brightens up my eye area, as well as covering my dark circles, and blends like a dream! I couldn’t ask much more for a concealer, and the price is out of this world, (in a good way). £5.99 … Yes you’ve read that right!
Also, I thought I would quickly mention that I use the shade 05 ivory, the lightest shade they offer, so if you are related to Casper the ghost just like myself, this will blend right in.

Maybelline fit me concealer

Amy, another concealer, what’s going on? I’m simply trying to test out drugstore concealers! I’ve always paid a little extra in terms of complexion products; and I want to step out of the mind-set that drugstore isn’t as good. I know from my beloved Maybelline fit me concealer that it’s not the case, but why stop there?
The only concern I have about this product, was when I took it home and looked in natural lighting it appears too dark for my skin-tone, and I purchased ivory, (which is the lightest shade in the collection).
I’m hoping it looks better on the skin, but I will update you in the near future.

Rimmel concealer

These two lipsticks was my last purchase, I have more than enough lip products, but I just can’t help myself … They are my addiction. But, I couldn’t hold back any longer, I’d had constant reviews that these were to die for, (maybe not literally), but I needed them in my life; bedsides the colour collection is fabulous.
Obviously I had to buy the most basic colours, those being: Poet and Driver, luckily enough they are on the opposite side of the spectrum.
Poet appears to be a beautiful pink nude, (classy colour), and Driver is a sexy caramel colour, something I already own but the shade is slightly different which I adore.
I can’t wait to try these on and do an entire review based on these interesting lip products!

Right Little Ones, that’s the end of my blog post! I really do hope you enjoyed the read, I have finally finished my second year of university and I can’t wait what year 3 brings!
I’m now working full-time until October, (just brings in some money), but now I’m going to relax with my fiancé and watch Love Island!
I hope you have a wonderful evening! Remember to stay safe and stay tuned! x x x
